Mechanical Engineering
Ø Schematic Design Phase
· Inform the Client and the Architect of the feasible systems and strategies for the Heating, Ventilation and Air Conditioning design of the project.
Ø Design Development Phase
· Prepare heating and cooling load estimates.
· Identify mechanical equipment locations and sizes.
· Prepare ventilation and conditioned air distribution layout for all occupiable spaces.
Ø Construction Documentation Phase
· Prepare Equipment Schedules, ACCA JD&S Calculations, Plan Layouts and Details in compliance with local building codes, suitable to permit, bid and construct the project.
Electrical Engineering
Ø Schematic Design Phase
· Inform the Client and the Architect of the feasible systems and strategies for the residential power and lighting systems design criteria for the project.
Ø Design Development Phase
· Prepare electrical design to include individual metering for each typical residential unit; unit power and lighting design; smoke detector layout; and, voice/data and cable TV outlet locations; Building-mounted lighting for balcony or entrance lighting;
Ø Construction Documentation Phase
Prepare customary basic electrical engineering design including circuiting and associated calculations as outlined in Article #4 of the AIA document #C141 (1997 Edition) and suitable to permit, bid and construct the project.
Plumbing Engineering
Ø Schematic Design Phase
· Inform the Client and the Architect of the feasible systems and strategies for the Water Heating, Potable Water Distribution, and Gas Distribution systems design criteria for the project.
Ø Design Development Phase
· Prepare potable water, gas, sanitary sewer, and storm water drainage load estimates.
· Prepare potable water hydraulic calculations and pipe sizing tables.
· Identify wet and dry utility services, and plumbing equipment locations and sizes.
· Prepare Drain/Waste/Vent collection pipe layout.
· Prepare Hot/Cold Potable Water and/or Gas distribution pipe layouts.
Ø Construction Documentation Phase
· Prepare Equipment Schedules, Fixture Schedules (or performance requirements), Plan Layouts, Diagrams and Details in compliance with local building codes, suitable to permit, bid and construct the project.
Energy Complaince
Ø Design Development Design Phase
· Inform the Client and the Architect of the feasible strategies for the Energy Compliant design of the project.
Ø Construction Documentation Phase
· Prepare Performance Method-based Certificate of Compliance Forms and Mandatory Measures, formatted in booklets and/or plan sheets, suitable to permit, bid and construct the project.
